When You Need A Miracle

Do you need a miracle today? Most of us try to manage our lives so we don't.  Miracles are necessary when circumstances get out of our control.  Often life is not in our control. We find ourselves in a difficult place and we see no way out. Our child or loved one has cancer, our business is struggling financially. Maybe our marriage is on the rocks.  In those moments we cry out for a miracle.

But another thought occurs to me.  If we never need a miracle, are we really walking with God?  Have we put ourselves in the place of obedience to God where God has to come through?  I have often counseled with people who feel like God is not a necessary component of their life.  They keep it safe and limit life to the already known.  They have never known the call of God to go to a place that he will show them.  They have traded faith for the sure bet.  But the realm of faith is the realm of the miracle and in that realm you come to know God.

So I come back to the first question: Do you need a miracle?  A miracle is a miracle regardless of whether it is because of a difficult circumstance or a step of faith.  When we need a miracle we need God.  In this series we will explore some of the miracles of Jesus to learn how to put ourselves in a place where God can work in real time, when we need a miracle.
